In www.chandiramani.com Indonesian section no 24 ,there are photos of statues of Ganesha , around 3O in Java as well as in Bali and elsewhere . Do visit them ..

Indonesia was Hindu Buddhist for 15OO years .Hence the presence of Ganesha statues. Even today when they dig the ground for making buildings,buried temples are found/

Also on island Panaitan on mountain RAKSA , a statue of 1st century A.D Ganesha Statue has been found. This area is declared as a world heritage site.

< LET THE PUBLIC BE MADE AWARE OF THIS HISTORICAL POINT .

It would be a good idea to visit these Yatra places some day.

There are Ganesha statues in Afghanistan, Burma, Vietnam, China, Indonesia and Bali, Java and Borneo, Japan, Mongolia, Thailand and Tibet.

There are three places in Indonesia where you can see SANSKRIT INSCRIPTIONS : Batu Tulis 45O A.D ( Neat Jakarta ),Blanjong (Near Denpasar (Bali) 9th Century A.D and Joko Dolog , Surabaya In Java .

Incidently there are Hindus in Bali, Java ( Tengernese), Badui (Java ),Kalimantan,Sulawesi ,Sumatra,Lombok . Maximum number is in Bali 9O% .

The Indonesian Government is very secular and allows the minority religions to flourish .
